This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
